Angela had another amazing track season! We had such a rainy, cold Spring that some of the meets, and quite a few practices were cancelled. It is too dangerous to pole vault when it is wet out. Her team had an almost undefeated season(the one meet they lost was controversial too say the least). She ran the 4x100 relay (her personal fav), and pole vaulted. She ran the anchor position of the relay, and her team had many 1st place finishes. She pole vaulted 8ft 6 in in meets, but vaulted over 9 feet in practices. She came in 1st quite a few times, and had her name in the paper multiple times as a section leader. Hooray! She qualified for sectionals in pole vault, and did well enough there to qualify for State Quals. It was a great experience for her to go to these meets. She earned enough points to earn her Varsity letter this year (hooray again), and received a few other awards at the end of the year banquet. Now for her big decision.... will she do indoor track or cheer next Fall. I will keep you posted!

This past February, Angela and the Liverpool Varsity Cheerleaders traveled to Walt Disney World to compete in the Contest of Champions Cheer Competition held at ESPN’s Wild World of Sports. Angela flew down to Florida with her team a day before Tim and I joined them. Unfortunately Amanda could not join us. Our college girl was not on break. One of the first things Angela said to us was “ I wish Amanda was here with us, I miss her”! Awww she loves her big sister! We all missed her, we didn’t feel complete without her. Angela did have a lot of fun being in the world’s happiest place with her best friends. Between practices, they were able to go to all the parks and hang out at the pool. Unfortunately Angela suffered from the stomach bug while there. It didn’t stop her one bit though. Goldfish crackers were about the only thing she could eat for a few days, so Tim and I bought her a big box of them. She carried that box everywhere with her. One Mom said she thought Angela even slept with that box! The best part of the trip was the competition, where they became NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! What an accomplishment! All there hard work paid off. Mickey and Minnie were there to present them with their trophy, and they each received a stuffed Mickey. Tim, Rebecca and I were able to join them at a celebratory dinner at Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney. Way to go Angela and the LHS Varsity Cheerleaders. These memories will last Angela (and us) a lifetime!!!!
