Our Christmas Tree- Part 2

Wimps
Our perfect tree in piles

Tim not happy about being out there again
Our Perfect tree
After spending all afternoon looking for the perfect tree, we came home and Tim and the girls crashed on the couches (wimps). When Tim woke up from his power nap, he decided that our perfect tree needed some "trimming and shaping". I went out to see how he was coming, and saw most of our tree in piles on our front porch. We brought it in and started to decorate it. It was the most pitiful Charlie Brown tree I ever saw! I was putting on the lights and ribbon garland, when Tim came in the living room and asked how I like the tree. With my eyes tearing, I told him I thought it was pretty. He took one look at the tree, then at me, and said "Get your coat...we are going to get a new tree!" I never got my coat on so fast. We found our new tree in record time (thankfully it was a very mild day, temps in the 50's), brought it home, (I did not let Tim do any trimming and shaping on this one lol), and decorated it. I think this is the most most beautiful tree we have ever had! Thanks Tim....I love you!!!

Angela had another amazing track season! We had such a rainy, cold Spring that some of the meets, and quite a few practices were cancelled. It is too dangerous to pole vault when it is wet out. Her team had an almost undefeated season(the one meet they lost was controversial too say the least). She ran the 4x100 relay (her personal fav), and pole vaulted. She ran the anchor position of the relay, and her team had many 1st place finishes. She pole vaulted 8ft 6 in in meets, but vaulted over 9 feet in practices. She came in 1st quite a few times, and had her name in the paper multiple times as a section leader. Hooray! She qualified for sectionals in pole vault, and did well enough there to qualify for State Quals. It was a great experience for her to go to these meets. She earned enough points to earn her Varsity letter this year (hooray again), and received a few other awards at the end of the year banquet. Now for her big decision.... will she do indoor track or cheer next Fall. I will keep you posted!

We were very lucky to have Jack visit us for a month in February, and Rebecca visit us for a week in April. It's always a fun time when they come for visits. Just another excuse to have parties! I only wish they lived closer!
