Bald Eagle in CNY!

For the past few weeks, we've been hearing about bald eagle sightings around Carousel Mall. Since we had a free weekend,(Amanda was in Pittsburgh for a winter guard competition), Tim and I decided to go and see if we could see one. We left for the mall around 4:00 on Saturday afternoon. Even though we did see 4 bald eagles, the traffic at the mall at that time was crazy. We were never able to get close enough for a good picture. We decided to go home and return the next morning before the mall opened, hoping to get a better chance at seeing one up closer. We set off for the mall around 10:30 Sunday morning (we even talked Angela into going with us, even though she thought it was pretty lame). The traffic at the mall was much lighter, but after waiting for around 45 minutes, we did not see one eagle. We then decided to head for home, a little disappointed. After a stop at Dunkin Donuts, to get Angela her promised hot chocolate, as we were heading up Morgan Road, there by the side of the road high up in a tree was a Bald Eagle! We stopped and watched it for around 10 minutes until it finally flew away. We were so surprised to see a bald eagle less than a mile from our house. What an amazing sight!

Miss you Rebecca!

Sometimes I think Rebecca and I share some sort of psychic connection. I had been thinking about her yesterday afternoon and was planning on calling her later that evening. Around 5:30 my phone rang, and yes, it was Rebecca. We talked and laughed for over an hour. It was so good to talk to her. After we hung up, I started thinking, it's been over 2 years since I've seen her. Last time I saw her was at her and Adams wedding. I think this is the longest time we have ever gone without seeing each other. Talking on the phone helps, but I really hope we can get together soon. I love and miss you Becky!!

Superbowl Party!

Even though the Superbowl did not end the way we would have liked it to, we did have a fun time hosting the party. Kudos to the Arizona Cardinals for playing one heck of a game, we really thought they were going to pull off the big win. Dianne, Jacob, Lisa,Mike,Michael and our good friends Steve, Char and Mike, all joined us for the big game. Mike brought the 3D glasses so we could watch the 3D portion of the half-time show, Thanks Mike! Amanda's friends Jordan and Dave baked cookies and delivered them to Tim after the game. Tim was disappointed, but is looking forward to next season. Go Kurt and Larry Fitzgerald!!!
