Winter has arrived!
Up until a few days ago, we have had a very mild and snow-free December. In fact on Sunday, the girls were wearing sweatshirts and flip flops, and we even saw a couple of motorcycles on the road. Then we woke up on Monday to 6 inches of snow. I will admit it looked pretty, but I am counting down the days to Spring!

Happy Christmas!
Last weekend we went to Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles. The village is transformed back to the era of Charles Dickens , complete with characters dressed in costume. We saw Charles Dickens, Scrooge, the Ghost of Christmas Past, and Father Christmas. Our family, along with Mike, Tim's parents, Mark and Brandon, and Brandon's friend Mandy, all braved the freezing temperature to step back in time for a few hours. We had a great time, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Johnny Angels. Happy Christmas!

Coast Guard Auxiliary Change of Watch!

Angela and Amanda
Tonight was the annual Coast Guard Auxiliary Change of Watch dinner. Mom, Deb, Dianne, Donna(when she is in town) and I usually attend these dinners with Dad. This year, Mom, Dianne, Tim, Amanda, Angela and I attended with Dad (we missed you Deb and Donna). Dad looked very handsome in his uniform! We had a nice time, and I know Dad really enjoys having his own "cheering section".

Our tree
The day after Thanksgiving we went and cut down our Christmas tree, even though it was raining lightly. It wasn't very cold, but it was sure muddy. Needless to say it didn't take us as long to pick out the perfect tree this year as it did last year. The tree is up, the house is decorated inside and out, and we have been watching Christmas movies (Elf is the new favorite, we could watch this movie over and over), and listening to Christmas music. The month of December goes by so fast, so we are trying to slow things down a bit and enjoy the season. I haven't begun Christmas shopping yet, maybe next week...........

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did our annual 2 Thanksgivings, first at Mom and Dad's(Dad's homemade stuffing was perfect), and then over to New Hartford to celebrate with Tim's family. It was a very nice stress free day. No gifts to buy(Christmas), no costume or candy to buy(Halloween), just awesome food and spending time with our families. Thanksgiving has become my favorite holiday!

Little Black Dress!
Angela
Angela attended a "black or white" birthday party for one of her cheerleading friends last week. It was a real grown up affair, she even had to be checked in by a restaurant employee holding a clip board. No party crashers there! She looked so cute, but so grown up, where has the time gone.....

First Place!
Angela and the Liverpool Varsity Cheerleaders competed this weekend in the Extreme Cheer Jamz Cheer Championship in Lyons NY (between Syracuse and Rochester). Angela has been practicing her "full", which is a twisty flip move. She competed it in her floor routine in gymnastics, but she hasn't done it in a while. It's a bit more difficult performing it on a flat mat as opposed to a spring floor, and doing it in sneakers, not barefooted. But today she did it and nailed it! Everyone was so excited for her. Liverpool tied for first place with Fayetteville-Manlius, however I think Liverpool was much better :) The video is to big to be posted on the blog, however I have attached the link to Youtube where you can view her performance. Congratulations Angela and the Liverpool Varsity Cheerleaders. GO POOL!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7TA7QPyqpg
